OneLife Suffolk are commissioned by Suffolk County Council to deliver the Integrated Healthy Lifestyle Service across the county.

That means we work every day to help people to make healthy behaviour changes in an accessible, friendly and fun way! We know that one size doesn’t always fit all – and that is why we have developed our own psychologically-informed services to encourage our clients to make healthy choices that we are confident they can maintain. We are non-judgemental and we take pride in all of our services which include Stop Smoking clinics, Weight Management for Adults and Children, encouraging increased levels of Physical Activity, taking Health Walks and offering NHS Health Checks.

Due to the expansion of OneLife Suffolk we need to recruit to a number of new posts so that we can continue delivering amazing services to Suffolk residents – after all, we are here to serve our local community.

Stop Smoking Practitioner

Being a Stop Smoking Practitioner is a great job, with the ultimate feel good factor every time you see a patient successfully quit! It requires patience and a great skill to listen, being unbiased in your approach and a passion for helping people. This role is based across Suffolk and flexibility to travel across the county is required.

As a OneLife Stop Smoking Practitioner, responsibilities will include:

To provide the delivery of an element of the Integrated Healthy Lifestyles Services Contract; Supporting a case load of patients to achieve successful quit outcomes, to the national set standard, to be accountable for delivery of an evidence based behavioural change smoking cessation programme for adults (and children aged 12-17) when and where required.

  • Be responsible for facilitating 1:1 and group Stop Smoking sessions to adults and teens to enable them to quit smoking in an effective and sustainable way. Delivery should account for 80% of a practitioner’s time.
  • Deliver a curriculum-based, 12 week programme to both groups and on a 1:1 basis both over the telephone and as a face-to-face intervention (when government guidance permits).
  • To support clients undertaking a quit attempt, using abrupt cessation techniques.
  • Use coaching strategies, including goal setting and behaviour therapy skills to negotiate change to overcoming barriers to achieve smoking cessation.
  • Improve the uptake of the OneLife services via the Stop Smoking Service route.
  •  Promote the equality and value the diversity of individuals.

Active Lifestyles Support Coordinator

We are looking for a person with a high level of organisational skills with an eye for detail to support the ‘Active Lifestyle Team’ by ensuring the team and clients with the tools they require to start their journey to increasing their Physical Activity levels.

Health Walks Lead

(Part-Time 18.75 hpw)

We are looking for someone who can be OneLife Suffolk’s Health Walk  Lead who will plan and deliver health walks programme including the recruitment, induction and support of volunteer walk leaders, and day-to-day management of Health Walks in Suffolk with effective planning and promotion of the quarterly walks’ programme.This role will be central to supporting our dedicated Volunteers, to help increase our Health Walks offer in the East of the county and giving more access to walks for all ages and abilities.

Marketing & Communications Manager

We are looking for a highly organised, experienced operational manager who can manage a directorate comprising of Client Services, Training Team & Marketing Team. You will be part of the Senior Management Team at OneLife Suffolk.

You will be responsible for development, implementation and regular review of all marketing content creation with a specific focus on digital platforms. You will be responsible for our client’s journey through all the services delivered through OneLife Suffolk including a robust maintenance package.  You will report to the Stratergic Client Relations Manager and will also be part of the wider MoreLife Marketing Team.

The role has a primary emphasis on digital marketing and content creation with a heavy emphasis on website content, video creation, blogs, vlogs and social media activity.

This is a hands-on role and we are looking for a highly experienced team manager. You will have responsibility for the day-to-day implementation of the marketing strategy including the planning and creation of all required content to support our programmes and Public Health – you therefore must have experience of having successfully delivered marketing programmes to agreed targets and with significant results and not be afraid to get your hands dirty!

We are looking for an additional highly creative person to join the marketing team. The Digital Marketing Assistant will be based in Ipswich but travel across Suffolk will be required.

The post holder will have a flair for being creative when designing artwork and copywriting. You will also be required to attend events as a representative of OneLife Suffolk.

Robin started on our workplace group in September 2019.
