OneLife Suffolk are commissioned by Suffolk County Council to deliver the Integrated Healthy Lifestyle Service across the county.

That means we work every day to help people to make healthy behaviour changes in an accessible, friendly and fun way! We know that one size doesn’t always fit all – and that is why we have developed our own psychologically-informed services to encourage our clients to make healthy choices that we are confident they can maintain. We are non-judgemental and we take pride in all of our services which include Stop Smoking clinics, Weight Management for Adults and Children, encouraging increased levels of Physical Activity, taking Health Walks and offering NHS Health Checks.

Due to the expansion of OneLife Suffolk we need to recruit to a number of new posts so that we can continue delivering amazing services to Suffolk residents – after all, we are here to serve our local community.

Outreach NHS Health Check Service Lead – County wide (Full time 37.5 hrs per week – permanent )(4 days a week considered)

 

An NHS Health Check is a screening intervention for 40 – 74 year olds which assess an individual’s cardiovascular risk and aims to identify any early signs of long term conditions such as Stroke, Type 2 diabetes and Heart Disease. This role can be based from either East, West or North Suffolk although flexibility to travel across the county is required.

As an NHS Health Check Service Lead, responsibilities will include:

To provide operational management to the NHS Health Check Team to support the delivery of the Integrated Healthy Lifestyles Services Contract. To lead and manage the Health Check team, and to be accountable for all targeted activity within the service. Networking with targeted local workplaces and stakeholders to generate NHS Health Check bookings and secure workplace clinics. To maximize the effectiveness of the Health Check Practitioners workload by producing high quality leads and working as a team towards agreed set targets.

  • You and your team will be engaging with a range of Voluntary, Community, & Faith sector (VCF) and Health & Social Care Professionals, as well as communities and localities, to identify groups and clients who may benefit from the NHS Health Check but who may not traditionally engage with health promotion activities or NHS services.
  • Work with these groups and the Health Check Team to deliver the NHS Health Check to identify people at risk of cardiovascular disease in communities which have identified health inequalities.
  • Provide agreed health improvement advice to all clients identify those who will benefit from signposting to health lifestyle interventions via the OneLife service, as well as the client’s General Practitioner as per agreed protocols.
  • Improve the uptake of the OneLife services via the NHS Health Check route.

Stop Smoking Liaison Officer, Suffolk – County wide (Full time 37.5 hrs per week – permanent)

Are you experienced in working closely with stakeholders and eager to support them in delivering health improvements in the community?

Would you like to play a key role in educating and training partner providers in Primary Care in their delivery of Smoking Cessation interventions across Suffolk?

If the answer is yes, then you may be the ideal candidate for this role.

We are seeking motivated, proactive and self-driven individuals to join our Stop Smoking team at a time of exciting change! We are working together with our health professional partners across Primary Care to reduce the prevalence of smoking in Suffolk.

This role is not easy, it requires skill, drive, focus and determination; you will be integral to the success of the service and you will have a direct impact upon the lives of the people that you help to support stop smoking.

Medication Stock Adminstrator, Lowestoft (Part-time 22.5 hrs per week for 3 months fixed term)

The role will provide administrative support and ensure the efficient distribution of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) medication across the Stop Smoking service and act as a point of contact for the NRT Hub during Covid-19 adapted service(s).

OneLife Medication Stock Administrator, responsibilities will include:

Responsibility for fulfilling medication requests, selection of medication and entry of medication details into a computerised data system, packing of medication and ordering courier collection, labelling of parcels to ensure accurate distribution of medication to OneLife Suffolk Stop Smoking clients.

Behaviour Change Training Practitioner – Lowestoft (Full Time permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Do you want a role where no two days are ever the same?

We are looking for a highly organised person with a face-to-face training background to network with local workplaces and stakeholders to deliver Behaviour Change Training such as our Make Every Contact Count (MECC) Training. Our Behaviour Change Training is normally delivered face-to-face by our practitioners or digitally via an online training platform. You will also be required to deliver other training both internally and externally.
