Get Help To Get Active Success
My practitioner helped me a lot over the weeks, getting motivated to do more. I have enjoyed the group and made some good friends.
Have enjoyed the sessions, especially the more thought provoking ideas and how to sustain a good level of activity.
For me learning the chair based exercises was a big boost and again information is always good to have on hand for reference.
Glad I did the course feel better about myself still got a lot of weight to lose but feel confident that I will hit my target.
“In 2017, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, that year was as dark as it could get…just to know that Nick and the Get Help to Get Active team were there if I needed them was great. It is important for men with cancer to know they are not alone and it is ok to be scared- in fact, it is human. I am so grateful for the support received, I now swim and my confidence and ability has gone from strength to strength.”
“I have found the course very helpful, so much information on healthy living, wellbeing and exercise. The handouts are very useful to look back on for reference. Using the gym has been excellent, just what I needed and really enjoyable. The food handout has been useful and have refered to it often. Great course would recommend anyone to join up”
“I didn’t know where to start – I was feeling quite desperate about it. The course was fantastic, but it would have been a waste of time if exercise had not been a part of it. Gym’s were things that other people use!! Now I feel happy to join up and come regularly – Thankyou – It has been a real lifesaver”
“I contacted my GP after gaining weight from stopping working and smoking (due to health conditions) I got a referral to OneLife Suffolk who sent me a voucher from slimming world and they later contacted me to offer me the opportunity to take part in the Help to Get Active group. It has made such a difference to my confidence and motivation and it’s made a huge difference to my life. I’m now 1 1/2 stone lighter and getting more active everyday I would say job well done Zoe and thank you.”
