The OneLife Suffolk children’s team run a shorter 5-week programme. There are no weight eligibility criteria, and all children in Suffolk can participate.
Level 1 programmes cover general healthy lifestyle topics such as food, exercise and mental wellbeing. We would like to encourage families to take part; future sessions can be found here: https://onelifesuffolk.co.uk/families-and-young-people/families-young-people-free-webinars/
This is a 10-week family programme for children. To be eligible to attend any of the programmes offered, at least one child in the family must be on or above the 91st centile of the growth chart as shown below. This is determined by your child’s body mass index (BMI) which is calculated using their height and weight. Use the NHS BMI calculator to work out your child’s BMI before plotting this on the growth charts show below.
Our delivery team will be using a virtual platform and adapted course content for these fun, interactive and engaging sessions. Our practitioners are highly trained and use psychologically informed principles to support families to make sustainable long-term changes to their lifestyle.
The next programmes start at the end of July 2020 and continue throughout the year. Families can self-refer (or be referred by a professional such as their GP or School Nurse) by completing an online referral form https://onelifesuffolk.co.uk/sign-up/or call 01473 718193.
