Although Jeff didn’t have diabetes, he was looking for support with weight management in order to reduce his risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Jeff received a lot of useful information from the practitioners in regards to his diet and was motivated to increase his levels of physical activity which resulted in him losing 7kgs in 8 weeks.
Jeff is now living a much healthier and happier lifestyle.

I have just completed the pre-diabetes program with Nicky Taylor as the coach.
It started back in mid-2019 when I just didn’t feel well. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I wasn’t right, enough for me to seek advice from my doctor who sent me for blood tests. The result diagnosed me with pre-diabetes, and I was asked to go to the surgery to see a practice nurse which I did for some time, discussing diets etc.
I was then invited to attend the programme. At first, I was not really sure, but after discussing it with my husband, I thought I have nothing to lose and I am so glad I did.
Upon meeting Nicky, I found her approachable and very motivational.
My husband joined me at some of the sessions and she made him feel welcome and encouraged him and other partners to join in. She explained things in a way everyone could understand and if not, she found another way.
I found the session she covered on carbohydrates and food labelling a real eye opener. I feel like it was the turning point of my lifestyle changes and to quote Nicky “not a diet but lifestyle change”.
I turned 60 in June, just after lock down, and I feel the fittest and healthiest I have felt for a very long time. I was a size 18/20 on the top and 16 for bottoms. I am currently 14/16 top and just getting into 12 bottoms. I had started to look at my diet with the nurse at my surgery, but nothing like the depth that was given on the program. When I met Nicky, I was 74kg and now 63kg.
Even through lock down I kept my fitness up and avoided the nation’s baking trend – far too many carbs!
My husband has been with me all the way and we both agree that it has been achieved with her encouragement. I feel we have found a lifestyle change that we can maintain and have referred to the guidance booklet quite a few times. I feel it really has improved my health.
Nicky was a great coach and I have found my self hearing her advice whilst making choices. I cannot praise enough how supportive the coach and the programme are.
